HTC Salsa launched in India

HTC has now launched social networking phones in India. It is full touchscreen mobile which is available for purchase in Indian market.
The HTC Salsa is packed with standard hardware and, it sports a dedicated Facebook button for easy access to the social networking site. It includes a 5 megapixel camera, and a secondary front facing VGA camera for video calling. The device runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, sports a 3.4-inch display, 512MB of RAM and Internal memory, and an 800MHz Qualcomm CPU.



Successfully test fired Prithvi II in India


India on Thursday successfully test-fired the Prithvi II, and nuclear capable, surface-to-surface (Prithvi II) missile from the internal test for its full range of 350km at Chandipur in Balasore district.
The surface-to-surface missile was fired from launching complex III at 9.00am as part of the regular training exercise.
The missile reached the predefined target with a very high accuracy of better than 10 metres

High-fat diet may injure neurons


Eating a high fat diet and become obese may have damaged neurons or nerve cells in that part of the brain that control body weight.
Joshua Thaler and his colleagues at the University of Washington in Seattle studied the brains of rodents for the short-term and long term effects of eating a high-fat diet and also detected damage to weight –regulation neurons.
It is not yet clear whether the neuron damage is permanent, but it may be contribute to weight gain.
